1. I paid £1.60 for a single shot espresso in Starbucks at my gym in Malvern Worcestershire (supposed to be special rates for members) it was served in a paper cup too!

4. Just been charged £8.31 for a take away Cup of Tea and a small Americano Coffee in the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel !! Absolute disgrace – never ever enter a Starbucks again . Shame on the Marriott for allowing it . Feel Robbed !!!

   1. That is probably a franchised counter owned by the hotel similar to those at motorway services they price gouge quite spectacularly. almost double at times

5. Mango and Lime – 140g pot. £3.90 at Birmingham New Street Station. Unbelievably expensive. The price wasn’t shown in the chiller cabinet, so only found out once I’d paid and had the receipt.

6. Ordered a latte and a PLAIN croissant at Starbucks in Hounslow. My order was wrong as l was gjven a chocolate croissant. I asked ,as my order was wrong, if there was a difference in price and if so was l charged. I was quickly told l hadn’t been OVERCHARGED but l know I WAS.

12. I tried to buy a large caramel machiato on the app today. They wanted £4.15. Apparently 69p of that is tax. There is no VAT on take away. I have no intention of paying £4.15 for a coffee in a paper cup. If they don’t cut their prices i think they are in danger of going bankrupt.

    2. They pay little or no tax in the UK, if i remember correctly. Accounting rules allow profits to be converted into ‘royalty payments’ to the US operation.

       Not much chance going bankrupt when you can essentially trade tax free.

13. £4.70(!) – “Venti plain coffee Frappuccino no cream” in some London branches, now (mid 2021).
    Last year the exact same drink was £3.70 in the same locations (I know, as I live here and have been to many now and before).

    So only a whopping *27%* price increase in 6-months. Do SB think we’re all stupid and won’t notice such a high percentage increase in price.

    Absolutely and utterly ridiculous. Pandemic or no pandemic. Bye bye Starbucks.

    Ouch! £4.50 for a large Eggnog latte then the cup tax on top of that too…

16. Staff in Central Chambers in Ealing should be fully trained .I’m charged different prices for the same coffee everyday.
    So many mistakes.
    Staff are so stupid .
    Its down to the manager to train always in the office
