1. Good morning, I would like to know the prices for the whole menu of the Birmingham Starbucks branches. Would these be possible? I’ll be living there at the end of the month and I would like to know everything if possible.

4. I was over charge today in one of yours starbucks shop. I ask for a kids hot chocolate tall she gave me the tall but charge £2.95 .

6. Just had to pay £2:60 at gatwick to eat in a berry crunch – this site says it is £2:39 and that includes vat!!

7. I’ve just been mugged , I’ve just brought a £17.50 insulated Starbucks mug and charged me extra to fill it with coffee !

8. I loathe giving them my money as its all well overpriced.

   However, you can get free (unlimited?) refills if you buy a filter coffee to drink in (be sure to get a receipt to prove it). Bring your own mug/container and you also get 25p off your drink (drink in or take -away).

   Also worth getting a Starbucks card or the mobile app (£5 min top up to start off) and joining the ‘Starbucks Rewards’ programme via their website.

   You then get a free drink (any size) every 15 purchases and if you make 50 purchases in a year you can get free extra (as many as you want) espresso shots in your (paid for) coffee . Also free whipped cream and some other stuff (check out their webpage as the freebies and criteria may have changed). I think the ‘purchases’ can be anything as well (as long as they are seperate transactions) so you can use this to your advantage if you want to grab more points ;). e.g. if there isn’t much of a queue, buy your coffee then buy a newspaper seperately and pay for it with your Starbucks card.

   Be careful of Starbucks franchises (there seem to be more and more of these).

   These are mostly in train stations, airports etc but can be anywhere.

   The ‘franchises’ seem to have more expensive prices and seemingly don’t allow you to use your Starbucks reward freebies either (although they often accept Starbucks cards). Seemingly no way of knowing if a Starbucks is a franchise or not unless you ask them before buying (and hope they know what you’re on about) or happen to clock the increased charges on the board before ordering.

   I think you used to be able to check the locations of franchises on the Starbucks website (of course it would be a lot easier if Starbucks just put a sign up or something to let people know….seeing as they are seemingly so keen to look after their customers). You can easily order a drink with what you are assuming are the usual free (Starbucks rewards) extras, only to be charged a small fortune for your extra shots of espresso/whipped cream/toppings etc.

   You can also keep a tab on your purchases online if you get a Starbucks card. Then if you feel you’ve been overcharged , complain to Starbucks customer services and they usually put a free drink or something on your card. Worth complaining even if it’s a so-called Starbucks ‘franchise’ you’ve unwittingly been fleeced in. Just tell them you weren’t aware it was a franchise as there was no sign displayed informing you it was a ‘franchise’ and you ordered on auto-pilot :)

18. For us crinklies who grew up during WW2, the thought of paying 2 or 3 quid for a cup of tea or coffee, or a sandwich is hard to contemplate. No wonder some of the young say they have no money.

19. All the cream frappuchinos (caramel cream, strawberries and cream etc) are the same price. Had one today and to be honest they taste just the same as the McDonalds ones you can get for 1.99????

21. So. Starbucks, charging for a teacake, then charging for the butter that always goes with it, teacakes everywhere always have butter and plenty of it. Never ever been charged for it ever, come on Starbucks!!! I’m 64. Had many teacakes over the years, my mum too,always free butter and plenty of it, don’t be so penny pinching.

25. Just been charged 2.85 for tall latte at Liverpool Airport Starbucks. Plus 60p cinnamon and 60p cream . Ordered two cost £8.10 rip off never again
